Plans are afoot to boost the number of local DAB radio stations in the UK.
DAB is a substitute for AM and FM broadcasting, providing better audio quality.

In India, the digital radio format chosen by Indian Government is DRM+.
Therefore, Digital Audio can be heard only on DRM enabled sets in India, that also for a limited number of hours.
