Visit the Kajang tx site Malasiya / கஜாங் சிற்றலை ஒலிபரப்பி தளம்

In my recent International Radio tour, I have a chance to visit the Kajang tx site, (KAJ MLA 03N01 101E46) which is located 26 km away from Kuala Lumpur, Malasiya. This site started on 1964. Purpose of this site is broadcast both international and national radio of Radio Television Malasiya (RTM). Right now it is broadcast only the local FM relays. They are using 5965 (100 kw), 6050 (50 kw), 7295 (100 kw), 9835 (100 kw) and 11665 (100 kw). They got permission from ITU to broadcast on 54; 55; 58; 59; 60 CIRAF-Zones. Radio-Television Malaysia got three 100 kilowatt DRM-ready HF transmitters from Continental along with other associated equipment that were installed in Kajang. Earlier it were used 11885 and 6175 kHz for DRM.

வானொலி பயணங்களில் மிக முக்கியமானது, அந்த அந்த வானொலி நிலையங்களின் ஒலிபரப்பி அமைந்துள்ள இடங்களுக்கு செல்வது. சர்வதேச வானொலிகளின் பயண வரிசையில் சீனா, இலங்கை, பிலிப்பைன்ஸ் மற்றும் சிங்கப்பூரை அடுத்து சமீபத்தில் சென்ற மற்றும் ஒரு இடம் மலேசியா. 1980களில் 'வானொலி 6' என்ற பெயரில் தமிழில் ஒலித்த இந்த மலேசிய வானொலி, சிற்றலையிலும் தமிழக நேயர்களை இந்த ஒலிப்ரப்பி தளத்தில் இருந்துதான் வந்தடைந்தது. இப்பொழுது 'மின்னல் எப்.எம்' என்ற பெயரில் பண்பலையில் மட்டுமே ஒலித்து வருகிறது. தலைநகர் மலேசியாவில் இருந்து 26 கி.மீ தொலைவில் உள்ளது இந்த கஜாங் சிற்றலை ஒலிபரப்பி தளம். சமீப காலமாக உள்ளூர் பண்பலை நிகழ்ச்சிகளை மட்டுமே சிற்றலையில் அஞ்சல் செய்கிறது. டி.ஆர்.எம் ஒலிபரப்பியையும் இந்த நிலையம் கொண்டுள்ளது இதன் மற்றும் ஒரு சிறப்பு. Bye bye Meyerton RSA! It is confirmed that Sentech of South Africa is ending SW broadcast from 31 March 2019. So Channel Africa (Old Radio RSA), BBC, AWR. பிபிசி தமிழோசையின் முன்னால் ஆசிரியர் திரு.மணிவண்ணன் அவர்களின் முக நூலில் இருந்து!

வானொலி பிறந்த நகர்... 

வேலை விஷயமாக லண்டன் அருகே இருக்கும் செம்ஸ்ஃபோர்ட் நகருக்கு போக நேர்ந்தது. 

சிறிய நகரம்தான். அதற்கு இருக்கும் ஒரே பெருமை, வானொலியைக் கண்டுபிடித்த மார்க்கோனி , இத்தாலியில் இருந்து இந்த நகருக்கு வந்து வானொலிப்பெட்டி தயாரிக்கும் தொழிற்சாலையை ஆரம்பித்ததுதான். 

சொந்த நாட்டில் தனது கண்டுபிடிப்பை விற்பனைப் பொருளாக்கத் தேவையான நிதி உதவி கிடைக்காததால், இங்கிலாந்துக்கு வந்து நிதி ஆதரவு பெற்று தொழிற்சாலையை செம்ஸ்போர்டில் தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார், 

1899ல் தொடங்கப்பட்ட இந்த தொழிற்சாலைக்கு the Wireless Telegraph & Signal Company என்று முதலில் பெயர். பின்னர் அது மார்க்கோனி கம்பெனி என்றாகியிருக்கிறது.

சில பரீட்சார்த்த ஒலிபரப்புகளுக்குப் பின், முதல் வெற்றிகரமான, பொது வானொலி ஒலிபரப்பு 1920ல் நடந்திருக்கிறது. 

தன்னுடைய கண்டுபிடிப்புக்கு காப்புரிமை பெற்று பிறகு லண்டன் அருகே உள்ள இந்த நகரில் வானொலி பெட்டிகளை தயாரிக்கவும், கம்பியில்லாத் தந்திக் கருவிகளைத் தயாரிக்கவும் தொழிற்சாலையை தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார் மார்க்கோனி. 

இந்த தொழிற்சாலையின் உற்பத்தி உச்சகட்டத்தில் இருந்த போது உள்ளூருக்கு இது ஒரு பெரும் வரப்பிரசாதமாக விளங்கியதாம். சுமார் 4,500 பேருக்கு இத்தொழிற்சாலையால் வேலை வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்ததாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது. 

கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் , இந்த தொழிற்சாலை இருந்த இடத்தை அடுக்குமாடிக் குடியிருப்புக் கட்டிடமாக மாற்றியிருக்கிறார்கள். 

உள்ளூரில் சில வானொலி மற்றும் வரலாற்று ஆர்வலர்கள் இதைத் தடுத்து, இக்கட்டிடத்தை வானொலி வரலாற்று நினைவுச்சின்னமாகப் பராமரிக்க எடுத்த முயற்சிகள் பலனளிக்கவில்லை. 

இதை ஒரு வரலாற்று சின்னமாக மாற்ற உள்ளூர் கவுண்ட்டி ( உள்ளாட்சி நிறுவனம், County) பெரிய ஆர்வம் காட்டியதாகத் தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் வானொலி பிறந்த ஊர் என்று பெருமையாகச் சொல்லிக்கொள்கிறார்கள் ! 

நகரின் மையப்பகுதியில் மார்க்கோனி சிலை ஒன்று அவரது நினைவை பறைசாற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. 

குடியிருப்புக் கட்டிடமாக மாற்றப்பட்டாலும், இந்த இடத்தின் வரலாற்று முக்கியத்துவத்தை நினைவு கூரும் வண்ணம், பிரிட்டனில் இது போன்ற கட்டிடங்களில் பதிக்கப்படும் நீலத் தகவல் பலகை ( blue plaque) , இந்தக் கட்டிடத்திலும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது  சற்று ஆறுதல் தரும் விஷயம்.

In the last day of the Chennai Book Fair, I grab 

"A Radio Romance" by Garrison Keillor for only Rs.50/-. (Check the Amazon prize). It is about the radio story of WLT. Very interesting narration. A Must read book for Dxers. The story is about people associated with a fictional Minneapolis radio station called WLT. The events of the book span from the early years of radio broadcasting until the early years of television. The book reached the top ten of The New York Times Best Seller list in 1991. After read this book, you may also try to start a radio station!

It is written by Sarah-Jane Stratford. A woman finds her voice. London, 1926. Maisie Musgrave is thrilled to land a job at the fledgling British Broadcasting Corporation whose new and electrifying radio network is captivating the nation. The stories is going on that way...

He has long been a fan of radio - from late night sessions of John Peel to Test Match Special at dawn, he has always enjoyed tuning in to the riches of our best broadcasts. John's daily life is directly affected by his radio habit as like me!
