Radio JU back on air after clash control

Radio JU has been back on air since Monday after a two-and-a-half-month
break. The station, run by Jadavpur University, had gone on a forced hiatus
after its frequency clashed with that of the city airport's air traffic
control, causing mid-air confusion.
The Calcutta airport authorities had complained to the Union govenment's
telecommunications department last November about the problem in
communication between the air traffic control and pilots because of the
signal overlap.
The station, broadcast at 90.8MHz, had clashed with the signals used by ATC.
